Poster Contest

Yakima Rivers FestivalHERE'S HOW TO ENTER
(for 4th grade students only)

Have your teacher or parent help you with these:

CONTEST RULES

  1. Each poster needs to be created by only one artist.
  2. Only one poster per artist.
  3. Make your poster on weighted paper, no larger than 11"x17" at a weight that supports water colors, crayons, magic markers or dark colored pencils. We have to scan each poster so please do not use pastels, charcoals or graphite pencils as they smudge and are difficult to reproduce.
  4. IMPORTANT! Print your name, age, school and teacher's name on back
lower right-hand corner of the poster.
  5. 5. IMPORTANT! You MUST turn your poster into your teacher by April 30, 2007. Teachers: please call us at (509) 453-8280 and we will pick up the posters as soon as we can the week of April 30, 2007. We apologize for the short turn around and will get a longer lead time next year.

The 2007 theme for the Yakima Greenway Rivers Festival is "Wild on Salmon". Posters using the 2007 theme will be given higher consideration. If you would like to include a slogan or title describing what this means to you, please write the slogan or title on the back of your poster in PENCIL.

BE CREATIVE! You can use water colors, crayons, magic markers, dark colored pencils. Posters are judged on originality, design, slogan and artwork.

USE YOUR IMAGINATION! Bold, Simple and Colorful works best for a poster.
