The 26th Annual Gap2Gap

It is time to start gearing up for the 2010 Gap2Gap rely race.  Last year at this time we were boasting about how we had increased the number of participants from the 2007 year by achieving 261 for the adult race and 242 for the junior side of the race.  Well hold on to your hat because we increased the junior side of the event in 2009 to 431 and the adult side of the race was up to 275.  This was a huge success for us, our sponsors and our community. It helped validate our 25th anniversary advertising efforts in order to help recognize the event, bring in more participation and showcase our sponsors.

Junior G2G We recognize our sponsors on the radio, on television with e-newsletters and on our website.  In addition we showcase them in the Yakima Herald and frequently throughout the day of the event.  Each junior participant brings an average of 3 spectators that get to see what businesses help make this event a reality for our community.  If anyone is interested we still have the customized 25th annual logo shirts in a variety of sizes for sale at the Greenway visitor’s center, plus copies of the 25th annual documentary.

The race directors, Gap2Gap board and the Greenway staff greatly appreciate all of the Sponsors listed below that supported the event in 2009.  We would also like to thank the volunteers for all of their hard work and support and would like to invite those volunteers and all the participants to come out again on June 5th, 2010 for a fun and exciting race that is all ready being planned.  We started meeting in November to prepare and improve the 2010 race by providing a great way for juniors and adults to have fun at a competitive event.
