The 24nd annual Gap2Gap Relay, held May 31, 2008, is a
multi-sport race comprised of five legs: fjeld run, mountain bike,
kayak/canoe, road bike, and 10K run. The Sport Gap2Gap features an
in-line skate leg in place of the water leg, shorter mountain bike
leg, and a 5K run. The race takes place on and around the Yakima Greenway,
along the scenic Yakima River.
The Junior Gap2Gap
is a version of the race for kids 8-14. Kids run, bike, rollerblade,
paddle in Reflection Pond, and navigate an obstacle course in Sarg
Hubbard Park.
All proceeds from the Gap2Gap Relay benefit the Yakima Greenway Foundation.
Gap2Gap 2008 Sponsor Packages include a variety of training, pre-race
and race day marketing & recognition.
