Yakima Greenway Membership
Without monetary support from local, state, or federal government, the Greenway
must rely exclusively on its own funding sources to manage the 10 miles of
pathway, boat launches and several parks they maintain. These funding sources include membership, donations, special events,
reservation fees, and capital drives. A large membership base means more
funds to maintain the ever-growing Greenway.
For more information, or to receive a membership packet, contact the Greenway
at 509-453-8280 or email. You
may also join or donate online.

attractions that improves the quality of life for everyone in our community
and for those that visit us.
Share our growth!
There are three projects the Greenway has currently in development that
will dramatically change the face of outdoor recreation for the community.
- Finish the plan from 25 years ago to complete the Pathway around Reflection
Pond at Sarg Hubbard Park.
- A nearly 5 mile long loop trail to include the eastside of the river
and Sportsman State Park.
- he Rail to Trail project that will ultimately double the length of the Greenway
by extending the pathway all the way to Naches.
Please see our 2008 Membersip Letter for
more information on these three new opportunities.
As a member, you’ll share in the creation and you can feel a part
of these exciting projects for Yakima.
Annual membership dues provide funds to maintain the parks and pathways
to the highest standards. A few facts about the system this community has
built and maintains without general tax dollars:
- 10 miles of paved pathway need periodic repair, plus sweeping and snow
removal
- 3 grassy parks take two people two days to mow each week during the summer
- 112 garbage cans need checking and servicing once or twice every day
- 14 restrooms need checking and servicing every day
Members enjoy the satisfaction of knowing they are part of keeping our
Greenway secure and beautiful.
All contributions to the Greenway are tax deductible to the fullest extent
of the law.
