Throughout our history, dedicated volunteers have helped make the Yakima Greenway a success. We couldn’t keep this public space thriving without the people and community who share their time, expertise, feedback, talent, and energy. Thank you for all that you do for this amazing place.

Who?

Our volunteer program is a welcoming, open community of people who share a passion for public green space, recreation, civic engagement, stewardship, history, conservation and environmental sustainability. They are people from all walks of life, who deeply care for the Yakima Greenway alike.

What?

​

Volunteers contribute to their community while making a difference on and off the paths and parks through their support at the Yakima Greenway's events and in the surrounding community. They gain friendships, professional development, real-life experience, and opportunities to build a deeper connection with nature and with their neighbors. They also engage with our organization and staff in ways you couldn’t otherwise.

We have a wide variety of opportunities to learn, grow, and experience the Yakima Greenway through a unique lens while volunteering.
