The Gap2Gap is a relay race that directly supports and highlights recreation on the Yakima Greenway. The race consists of four legs that can be completed solo or as a team and spans the Yakima area from the Heart of the Greenway at Sarg Hubbard park following the Yakima River to the Union Gap, through Hop fields and shrub steppe to the Selah Gap and back to the Sarg Hubbard Park. The legs consist of Running, Cycling/ Mountain and Road and Kayaking. Participants are challenged both by the course and to be the top fundraiser for the Yakima Greenway Foundation.
The race is Saturday June 5th. With a revised course and revised entry system we are expecting this to be the best year yet. New for the Gap to Gap in 2021 is a peer fundraising goal. We encourage racers to challenge themselves, family, friends and employers by not only competing against time but also competing to raise the most money for the Yakima Greenway Foundation while completing the race. Each competitor will have a racer page set up so you can let others know that you are taking on the challenge of the Gap2Gap and how they can support you in completing the race and competing in the fundraise challenge. The event is open to solo racers and teams, Family, open and corporate.
