ADULT RACE CANCELLED

We regret to announce the cancellation of the 43rd Annual Adult Gap2Gap Multi-Sport Race on May 30th.

For decades, Gap2Gap has been Central Washington’s original multi-sport relay and a proud community tradition, showcasing the unique recreation opportunities in Yakima and along the Yakima Greenway. Following the December 2025 floods, significant damage to sections of the mountain bike and running course around Sarg Hubbard Park, as well as the boat launch at Harlan Landing, means we cannot deliver a safe, high-quality race experience this spring.

The Jr. Gap2Gap race, which takes place in Sarg Hubbard Park will take place as scheduled on Saturday, May 30, 2026. We encourage families to join us and continue Yakima's multi-sport tradition through the youth race.

We are working with local partners to restore river access and our maintenance team continues efforts to repair the non-paved trails along the river that have become a beloved part of the race. The Yakima Greenway Foundation Board will use this time to reassess the event with plans to return in 2027.
