The Gap2Gap is a relay race that directly supports and highlights recreation on the Yakima Greenway. The race consists of four legs that can be completed solo or as a team and spans the Yakima area from the Heart of the Greenway at Sarg Hubbard park following the Yakima River to the Union Gap, through Hop fields and shrub steppe to the Selah Gap and back to the Sarg Hubbard Park. The legs consist of Running, Cycling/ Mountain and Road and Kayaking. Participants are challenged both by the course and to be the top fundraiser for the Yakima Greenway Foundation.

The Gap2Gap is a relay race that directly supports and highlights recreation on the Yakima Greenway. The race consists of four legs that can be completed solo or as a team. The four legs consist of running, mountain/road cycling and kayaking. Test your endurance while you enjoy all the beautiful scenery that Yakima Greenway and our Valley has to offer.
The Race starts with a field run to a kayak on the Yakima River at Sarg Hubbard Park. Racers will kayak 5.5 miles down-river to Century Landing where the road bike awaits. The Road bike leg is a 17-mile point to point race ending at the Mountain Bike transition in the Yakima foothills. Racers will travel on gravel roads along the Yakima River and ends at Harlan’s landing. From here, you will run 3.5 miles along paved and dirt paths of the Yakima Greenway to the finish line at Sarg Hubbard Park. Each participant will be given a food and drink ticket to redeem after the race. Please check out to course maps below for more detailed information on the routes.
