KIDS FISH FEST IS COMING UP!
SATURDAY APRIL 18th, 2026
It’s almost time for the annual Kids Fish Fest at Reflection Pond in Yakima! Kids ages 5–14 are invited to Sarg Hubbard Park to try their hand at fishing as the Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks the pond each year with thousands of trout. This fun, hands-on event helps teach young anglers the importance of our natural environment and how to protect and preserve it for the future.
EVENT INFORMATION
Event Date: Saturday April 18th, 2026
Event Location: Sarg Hubbard Park: 111 S 18th St, Yakima, WA
Event Time: Starts at 8am - Ends 2pm
Event PRICE: $15/per person
Kids will fish in 1 hour long time slots. When registering choose whichever slots works best!
Please arrive 15 minutes before your selected time to check in. All participants are required to attend a brief talk with WDFW officers before their session starts.
Participants will be notitifed when their session is ending and will be asked to leave the pond.
TAKE YOUR CATCH WITH YOU!
Participants are allowed to catch and keep 2 fish and get to keep their pole as well! Those fish will be cleaned and sent home with you if you so choose. So good luck out there and we can't wait to see you and your family at this years Kids Fish Fest!
We want every child to be able to take part in Kids Fish Fest. If the cost of participation is a barrier, scholarships are available to help ensure all families can join in the fun.
